Polokwane City forward Oswin Appollis has remained steadfast in his commitment to the club despite growing transfer speculation linking him with Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates.
The 22-year-old has enjoyed a breakout season, attracting attention from some of the biggest clubs in the country.
However, Appollis insists that his full focus is on performing for Polokwane City and helping the team achieve its objectives.
“My job now is just to play for Polokwane City, and do great, and continue helping the team,” Appollis told iDiski Times.
While the player remains grounded, it is evident that his talent has not gone unnoticed.
Both Chiefs and Pirates are believed to be monitoring his progress closely, with Polokwane City open to the prospect of selling the in-demand striker.
Former Bafana Bafana defender Clayton Daniels had previously warned Appollis about the potential pitfalls of joining a big club too early in his career, emphasizing the importance of regular game time.
As the transfer window progresses, it remains to be seen whether Chiefs or Pirates will make a concrete offer for Appollis.
The young forward’s decision will ultimately depend on a combination of factors, including the level of interest from potential suitors and the ambition of Polokwane City.
