South African midfielder Siphephelo “Yaya” Sithole has finally addressed speculation linking him with a move to Kaizer Chiefs. In a recent interview, Sithole revealed he had discussions with the Soweto giants, but never received a formal offer.
Sithole, currently playing for Portuguese club Tondela, admitted to “talking” to Kaizer Chiefs last season. However, he emphasized, “It never went beyond talks. There was no official offer on the table.”
This statement clarifies the rumors surrounding Sithole’s potential transfer to the Amakhosi. While discussions might have taken place, it appears a move never materialized.
The 25-year-old midfielder has been a consistent performer for Bafana Bafana, earning him attention from South African clubs. With his contract with Tondela potentially expiring in the near future, Sithole’s future remains uncertain.
It’s unclear if Kaizer Chiefs will reignite their interest in Sithole. However, his clarification puts to rest speculation about a confirmed transfer and opens the door for potential moves to other clubs.
Fans will be watching closely to see where the talented midfielder lands next.
