Kaizer Chiefs defender Given Msimango has given a glimpse into the team’s pre-season camp in Turkey, promising an exciting start to the new season.
Speaking to SuperSport Football, Msimango expressed his confidence that the team will be “up for it” when the season kicks off in August.
“We’re working hard in our pre-season camp in Turkey, and I can assure you that we’ll be ready to go when the season starts,” Msimango said.
“We’re all focused and determined to make a strong comeback after a disappointing previous season.”
The defender, who joined Kaizer Chiefs from TS Galaxy last year, has been a key figure in the Amakhosi backline. He believes that the team’s rigorous training sessions, which include three sessions a day, will pay off once the season begins.
Msimango’s words are a boost for the Kaizer Chiefs faithful, who are eager to see their team bounce back from a 10th-place finish in the previous campaign. The club has been active in the transfer market, bringing in new players to bolster the squad.
The team’s new coach, Nasreddine Nabi, is also working to revamp the team’s approach and tactics. As the season approaches, Given Msimango’s promise of an exciting start has raised expectations among the Kaizer Chiefs supporters.
The team will be looking to make a strong statement in their first game, which is scheduled for the first week in August.
