Kaizer Chiefs are reportedly on the verge of securing the signature of talented attacker Oswin Appollis from Polokwane City.
The 22-year-old has enjoyed a breakout season, impressing with his performances for both club and country.
Appollis’ seven goals and two assists in the 2023/24 campaign have caught the eye of several top-flight clubs, including Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns. However, it is the Glamour Boys who appear to be leading the race for the young star’s signature.
According to reports, Chiefs are in advanced talks with Polokwane City and are confident of finalizing a deal in the near future.
However, the transfer fee is expected to be a significant hurdle, with Appollis’ stock rising rapidly following his impressive performances.
On the other side former Bafana Bafana defender Clayton Daniels has warned Appollis about the potential pitfalls of joining a big club too early in his career, suggesting that he should prioritize regular game time.
Chiefs have already made three signings this transfer window, and the addition of Appollis would further strengthen their squad.
The decision to break the bank for the young attacker will ultimately depend on the club’s assessment of his potential impact and the long-term benefits of securing his services.
