South African and former Kaizer Chiefs winger Kgaogelo Sekgota has found a new home after signing a one-year contract with ambitious PSL newcomers Magesi FC.
The 27-year-old, known for his pace and dribbling skills, arrives on a free transfer following his release by Stellenbosch FC at the end of last season.
Sekgota’s career has seen him wear the jerseys of Kaizer Chiefs, Stellenbosch, and Moroka Swallows. After a promising spell at Swallows, he earned a move to the Soweto giants in 2021.
However, his time at Naturena Park proved challenging, with limited starting opportunities. He then joined Stellenbosch in search of more playing time, but his stay there was also short-lived.
Sekgota, who was considered a “troublemaker” during his time at Kaizer Chiefs, will be hoping to revive his career with Magesi FC. The winger had a disappointing spell at Kaizer Chiefs and only lasted six months at Stellenbosch FC before parting ways with the club.
Magesi FC, a newly-promoted side, have secured the services of Sekgota as they look to bolster their squad for the upcoming PSL season.
The move presents an opportunity for the experienced winger to rediscover his form and make a positive impact in the top flight of South African football.
Sekgota’s signing is seen as a coup for the newly-promoted Magesi FC, who will be looking to the winger’s experience and talent to help them establish themselves in the PSL. The player will be eager to prove his worth and put his past troubles behind him as he embarks on this new chapter in his career.
