Kaizer Chiefs’ new chapter officially begins as head coach Nasreddine Nabi prepares to join the squad for their pre-season camp in Turkey.
The Tunisian tactician finalized his exit from ASFAR on Tuesday, following their heartbreaking 2-1 defeat in the Throne Cup final against Raja Athletic Club.
Nabi’s arrival in Turkey marks the end of a brief but impactful one-year stint in Morocco, with his famous AS FAR Rabat team.
Despite having a year remaining on his contract, ASFAR and Chiefs reached a termination agreement, paving the way for Nabi’s move to South Africa.
This move has been in the works for over a month, with Chiefs confirming talks with Nabi in the lead-up to his appointment.
The Tunisian manager expressed his excitement about joining the Amakhosi, stating to Moroccan media, “I chose the Kaizer Chiefs offer because it is an honour to supervise a team of their stature.”
Nabi, along with his technical staff, has signed a two-year deal with Chiefs, with the option for extension. Their focus now shifts to Turkey, where they will meet the squad this week, to begin preparations for the upcoming season.
This pre-season camp will be a crucial time for Nabi to implement his playing style and build a strong foundation for success with his new team.
