Kaizer Chiefs has officially announced the appointment of Cedric Kaze as the club’s new assistant coach.
Kaze, who previously worked alongside head coach Nasreddine Nabi at Yanga SC, replaces Fernando Da Cruz.
The Burundian coach brings a wealth of experience to the role, having served as the national team coach for Burundi and worked with the youth teams, including the U17s, U20s, and U23s.
Additionally, Kaze spent over two years with FC Barcelona’s youth sides.
Known for his meticulous approach to planning, analysis, and tactics, Kaze is a valuable addition to the Chiefs coaching staff.
His fluency in six languages, including French, Kirundi, Kiswahili, English, German, and Spanish, will also be beneficial in communicating with players and staff from diverse backgrounds.
Kaze’s appointment comes as no surprise to many Amakhosi fans, as rumors of his imminent arrival had been circulating for some time.
The pair’s successful partnership at Yanga SC made them a natural fit for a reunion at Chiefs.
With Kaze now on board, Chiefs are well-positioned to continue their pursuit of success both domestically and on the African continent.
The club’s fans will be eager to see how the new assistant coach contributes to the team’s development and performance.
