Kaizer Chiefs fans eager for a squad shakeup won’t have to wait much longer. Amakhosi confirmed new signings are on the horizon, following comments from Jessica Motaung.
The club is currently in Turkey for a pre-season camp overseen by recently appointed head coach Nasreddine Nabi.
Motaung acknowledged the team’s transfer activity, stating, “Work is being done behind the scenes.” She emphasized the importance of Nabi being involved in the decision-making process.
“It certainly makes sense for the coach to come in first…and be part of the decisions,” she explained. This suggests a collaborative approach between the new coach and management in building the Chiefs’ squad.
While details remain under wraps, reports suggest Bongani Sam from Orlando Pirates might be the sole signing assessed in Turkey.
This pre-season camp serves a dual purpose: allowing Nabi to evaluate potential signings like Sam and assess the current squad’s commitment. Players like Samkelo Zwane, Siphesihle Tati, and Nkosana Mbuthu will undoubtedly be vying to impress the new coach and secure their place in the upcoming season.
With the promise of fresh faces and a new coach at the helm, excitement is building amongst Amakhosi faithful.
The upcoming transfer announcements are sure to ignite further anticipation for the upcoming season.
