Kaizer Chiefs are set to undergo a significant squad overhaul as new coach Nasreddine Nabi looks to reshape the team for the upcoming season.
With seven departures already confirmed and an eighth imminent, the Amakhosi are in a period of transition. The club is also facing interest from several PSL rivals for a number of young players, including Sabelo Radebe, Mduduzi Mdantsane, and Tebogo Potsane.
Nabi is considering loaning out four players in total, with the aim of providing them with valuable game time while also assessing their development.
Stellenbosch FC and AmaZulu FC have expressed interest in Radebe, while Mdantsane has attracted attention from an unnamed Gauteng-based club. Potsane is also on the radar of Royal AM, but their current FIFA transfer ban complicates matters.
Up front, Chiefs are looking to make space for new signings, with one striker likely to be released. The club is also in the market for several high-profile additions, including three Bafana Bafana players.
A renewed bid for Percy Tau is on the cards, while the Soweto giants have made offers for two other national team stars.
The future of club legend Itumeleng Khune is also uncertain. Despite being offered a new role at the club, early indications suggest that Khune may opt to join a PSL rival.
As Nabi navigates these challenges, he will need to make some tough decisions in the coming weeks.
With a squad rebuild underway and a number of key players attracting interest, the pressure is on to deliver results both on and off the field.
